The frog in the fall garden

'I know I know' I should be posting winter decorations and evergreen arrangements,
but I still have some fall plantings to share with you.

We  have had an unusually mild Autumn here in Michigan.

We had snow on the ground at this time last year and the year before

Nothings worse than snow on Halloween pumpkins and gourds.

Actually I have not started any winter decorating yet, and I already feel behind.

Lemon Cyprus with a collar of Cabbages and Kales

"Ruby cabbages", Peacock' Kales, and lavender mums about to open.

The frog in the garden, he's still enjoying Autumn too!

This we like.

Stay safe my friends.

The colors of fall

We here in Michigan have been enjoying a very mild fall, and believe me we were well over due for one.

For the last two years we have had  snow on the ground,
and it was more than just a dusting, and it came with below freezing temps.
Not fun!!

Michigan really has just two seasons Winter and Sumer.
We are known for short Springs and even shorter Falls,
 blink and you'll miss them.

I've never been a big fan of Fall, we all know what season come next, and here in Michigan get about six month's of it. The 'it' being Winter.  I usually look at fall as if it has roaches crawling
out of it's mouth.

The colors this Fall were spectacular, 'Quick Fire Hydrangea's on
fire

The Glaucus blues that come from 'Ruby Cabbages', and 'Peacock Kales'

'Garden Mum', a couple of colors are going on here.

A favorite tree in full fall color.
