Fall catch up

As I write this post it's about 35 degrees outside. Winter came early this year... really early. We got snow a week after Halloween, snow on pumpkins, not a good look. So I'm trying to play catch up on my fall post.

In fact this planting will be ripped out in preparation for winter arrangements in just a couple of days.

The fall garden tour "Mums the word"

Mums are a favorite flower for this time of year. Most people I find either love them or hate them.
I have to admit, I have never been a huge fan of them, but that may be changing.

When I think of mum's I always tend to think of the flashy yellow, and the rusty colored ones, or the white one's that fade to some awful color.

And let's not forget that pungent smell.

This fall garden features a lot of mum's as well as a lot of flowering Kales and Cabbages

Mum's do add that much needed pop of color to the garden this time of year,
and the new varieties do come in nicer colors.

I guess I'm OK with mum's in this garden!

Halloween 2018

Even though I only had one group of "Trick or Treater's" this year I will continue to decorate my home for Halloween.

Hope everyone had a good Halloween!!!
This we like.
