The Daffodils

I went to see the Daffodils at a local park.

This was my second trip to see the spring display, I enjoyed them last year. One thing I did notice was that some of the older plantings  are in need of some fertilizer, the blooms were  few in numbers amidst that foliage.

The newer plantings were glorious.

The Blues of spring

Spring plantings are well under way. After the long winter it's time to enjoy
some color.

Blue is the choice of color in this first of the season planting, with the help of golds and
chartreuse and greens. These colors work well with the black
window boxes

Blue and purple viola's have a supporting cast of 'Lemon Cyprus', Lettuce, red cabbage, and 'Creeping Jenny'

The front entrance pots already had 'Boxwood Topiaries planted in them that survived through the winter. A planting of blue Viola's takes them to spring.

No spring planting is complete with some 'Pusy Willow' branches
This we like!
