Home tour

When one of my favorite clients and friend asked me to help decorate for a holiday home tour
how could  I refuse, after all she is one of my favorites.

I was up for the challenge, after all this was a chance to show my work off
to people who normally would not have the chance to enjoy
 I was eager and excited.

My client has a big love of gardens, almost as big as mine.
We were on the same page as to what do.
This makes the job much easier

Using natural elemements and nothing too shiny we were able to come up with a decorating theme
we were both happy with.

Broom corn

Broom corn, yes it is what some brooms are made from.
In this case however I use it as a centerpiece in my fall pots

Along with flowering cabbages and kale.
it's tough and long lasting, not to mention the wonderful colors.

A look at surrealist sculptures by Ellen Jewett.
Her highly detailed ceramic pieces effortlessly combine animals in fantastical surroundings.
